ODV Release 5.8.2 (Windows, macOS, Linux) May/15/2025:
• Graphics export into .eps files enabled again. Numerous issues in eps output resolved.
• New Tools > Other Collection > Inherit Key Variable Settings option for inheriting key variable associations from another collection.
• Algorithm for merging variables using option Export > Data > SDN Aggregated ODV Collection was modified to allow repeated execution of this option. Quality flag 8 is now assigned if the result value is obtained as median of several contributing values and all contributing values have the same quality flag 1, 2, 6, or Q.
• Support for new SDN CDI meta variable Location qualification added.
• The World Ocean Database native ASCII and netCDF importers now also extract the WODprofile quality flags and store results for each data variable in the new meta variable WODprofile Flags.
• The import_data command file command now has the additional import_type SPREADSHEET for importing spreadsheet data files.
• Updated files whp_import_settings.xml and whp_parameters.json used during WHP Bottle imports.
BUG FIXES
• Option Extras > 2D Estimation: Fixed bug that prevented estimates to be calculated near upper and right domain boundaries.
• Fixed issue when requesting the map statistics dialog and none of the stations has date/time information.
• Shortcut keys ‘+’ and ‘-‘ for adding or removing the current station from the pick list now work again. Shortcut key ‘ENTER’ for completing Zoom, Z-Zoom and GetPoints operations now works again.
