Multiple cruises displayed on a station map

I’d like to make a map showing stations from several cruises, using a different color for each cruise. Creating a pick list didn’t seem to help. All the cruises show up in the same color.
Using 5.8.1 on an Intel Mac running Ventura

Note to self. Always read the manual carefully. As the manual says, in window properties, setting dot color to automatic changes the color for each cruise.
